|In August 2021, Lech Poznań announced the formation of a women’s football team, Lech Poznań UAM, in collaboration with the University of Adam Mickiewicz. The team began competing in the III league, with the long-term goal of reaching the Ekstraliga, Poland’s top women’s football division. 
As of the 2024/2025 season, Lech Poznań UAM Women have progressed to the I Liga Women (second division) and are performing strongly. They currently hold 2nd position in the league standings, with 6 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss, totaling 20 points. The team has scored 35 goals and conceded 5, reflecting a goal difference of +30. 
The club continues to invest in its women’s section, aiming for promotion to the Ekstraliga and further development of women’s football within the organization.
As of March 23, 2025, Lech Poznań, one of Poland’s premier football clubs, has been actively enhancing its squad and infrastructure to maintain its competitive edge in the Ekstraklasa.

• Mario González Acquisition: On February 11, 2025, Lech Poznań secured the services of Spanish striker Mario González on loan from Los Angeles FC until June 30, 2025. González, 28, brings experience from top academies like Atlético Madrid and Villarreal. His recent stint in Portugal with FC Famalicão saw him net two goals and provide two assists in 16 appearances. 
• Gisli Thordarson Signing: In January 2025, Lech Poznań finalized the transfer of 20-year-old Icelandic midfielder Gisli Thordarson from Víkingur Reykjavík. Player Milestones
• Antoni Kozubal’s Rise: Midfielder Antoni Kozubal extended his contract with Lech Poznań until mid-2028 and became a regular starter in the 2024–25 season. His performances earned him the Ekstraklasa’s October Young Player of the Month award. Kozubal scored his first league goal in a 5–2 win over Legia Warsaw on November 10, 2024, and received his maiden call-up to the Polish national team for UEFA Nations League matches in November 2024.
