Two young Albion men went head-to-head in the Southern League Premier Central division, with Ronnie Hollingshead’s Alvechurch travelling to Archie Kirton’s Stourbridge.

It was Archie who was celebrating the bragging rights on Saturday night as the Glassboys ran out 1-0 winners.

Midfielder Kirton completed 74 minutes on his debut, while goalkeeper Hollingshead played the entirety of the fixture at the War Memorial Ground.

Tyrone Barnett’s 32nd-minute header was enough for Stourbridge, who moved five points clear of the Church with the victory. Stourbridge sit tenth, with Alvechurch one place behind them.
