Susanna Hoffs’ Family Breaks Silence Amid Circulating Death Rumors, Sets the Record Straight

In response to growing speculation and misinformation spreading across social media, the family of iconic musician Susanna Hoffs has officially addressed recent rumors regarding a death in the family. The statement, released early Sunday morning, aims to dispel the false claims and bring clarity to concerned fans and followers.

“We want to assure everyone that the rumors circulating online about a death in our family are completely unfounded,” the family stated. “These fabrications have caused unnecessary panic and distress among those close to us, and we are taking steps to address the misinformation directly.” The message, signed by Susanna Hoffs, her husband Jay Roach, and their children, expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support but urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information.

The rumors appear to have originated from a viral social media post that falsely claimed that a member of the Roach-Hoffs family had passed away. The family emphasized that while they understand the internet can be a breeding ground for speculation, they were shocked at how quickly the baseless claims gained traction. “No one should have to wake up to dozens of messages asking if a loved one is dead based on a random post,” they added.

Sam Rayfield Roach, the couple’s son and a Stanford University graduate with a budding career in acting, also took to Instagram to share a personal message. “I’m alive and well,” he wrote. “Thank you to everyone who checked in, but please let’s be more mindful about the impact of spreading rumors. Words matter.” His post was met with an outpouring of relief and support from friends, fans, and followers.

The family concluded their statement with a request for privacy and respect as they move past the incident. “We’re grateful for our supporters, and we ask that everyone focus on truth and kindness over sensationalism. Our family is safe, healthy, and standing strong together.” They have not ruled out the possibility of pursuing legal action against the original sources of the hoax.
