NEWS UPDATE: Michael Beale ‘made it really clear’ he wanted ‘incredible’ player at Sunderland

Michael Beale has claimed that Sunderland have made it “very clear” that they do indeed want to sign a young Premier League player.
Sunderland have not had much luck so far in the January transfer window but are still awaiting a decision on striker Kieffer Moore.
They also appear to be in the market for a left-back following links with Luke Thomas, while Michael Beale has also admitted he is considering signing a central midfielder.
