NEWS UPDATE: Michael Beale ‘made it really clear’ he wanted ‘incredible’ player at Sunderland

Michael Beale has claimed that Sunderland have made it “very clear” that they do indeed want to sign a young Premier League player.
Sunderland have not had much luck so far in the January transfer window but are still awaiting a decision on striker Kieffer Moore.
They also appear to be in the market for a left-back following links with Luke Thomas, while Michael Beale has also admitted he is considering signing a central midfielder.
.
However, one player who will not be signed this month is Amad Diallo.
Sunderland have wanted to re-sign the “incredible” Ivorian for months, but manager Fabrizio Romano has reportedly refused to allow Manchester United to let him go on loan again.
did.
There had been little talk of Sunderland pursuing Amado since before Christmas, but Beale admitted they were really keen to bring him back to Wearside.
The Black Cats coach told the Sunderland Echo: “We’ve made it clear to them that we’re there, but Man Utd really value him too” internally though.
, I can assure you that if he goes out on loan, they know very well that we want him back here.

” Is it all over for Sunderland?
Sunderland’s lack of movement to sign Amad Diallo this month is concerning, especially when reports emerged that it was actually Middlesbrough who were leading the race to sign him.
But if the club are already doing everything they can to bring the 21-year-old back and Manchester United just want to keep him in the Premier League, there’s not much we can do.
There is no doubt that Amad will make a name for himself in the top flight this season, especially considering the Red Devils’ poor form so far.
But unless he is sidelined permanently within the next two months, I think it’s safe to say we won’t see him in a Sunderland jersey again.
