SAD NEWS: When Rodrigo Bentancur could return to action with Tottenham after positive update

Rodrigo Bentancur suffered a nasty head collision in Tottenham’s Premier League opener against Leicester City on Monday, but when could the midfielder return to action following his concussion?

Bentancur’s injury woes continue

There is one player who just cannot seem to catch a break when it comes to injury issues: Rodrigo Bentancur.

The Uruguayan suffered a brutal ACL injury back in February 2023 during a game against Leicester City. He returned in October 2023, a little earlier than expected. But, he suffered another injury to his ankle ligaments in March of this year that saw him miss a further six games.

Now, Bentancur has already encountered issues in the first game of the new season, after going down with a head injury in the match against Leicester on Monday night.

He was down for a good ten minutes before being carried off on a stretcher. His manager, Ange Postecoglou, confirmed after the game that Bentancur had shown positive signs of recovery and was sitting up and talking (Mirror).

Speaking to Medios Publicos, Bentancur’s advisor, Daniel Fernandez has insisted the midfielder should be back in action sooner rather than later.
