NOW Jhon Duran: ‘Highly lucrative’ deal is available to Aston Villa – CEO

Aston Villa could miss out on new revenue streams in the US market if they sell Jhon Duran before the transfer deadline, sources have told Football Insider.

The CLV Group CEO Neil Joyce exclusively revealed to Football Insider the Colombia international opens up a “highly lucrative” growth area within the Latino market and Hispanic communities in the US that Villa could tap into.

Duran joined the Premier League side in an £18million move from Chicago Fire in January 2023, having made himself known to American audiences following his impressive performances in the MLS.

Despite helping Unai Emery’s side reach the Champions League last season, the 20-year-old has been pushing for a move away from Villa Park this summer due to a lack of starts.

Duran has attracted bids from Chelsea and West Ham in recent weeks and has been close to joining both clubs at various stages.
