HERE WE GO 🦵:Longhorns in the Super Bowl

Super Bowl LIX, taking place today, February 9, 2025, in New Orleans, features three former Texas Longhorns:

 

Charles Omenihu, Defensive End, Kansas City Chiefs: Omenihu, a Longhorn from 2015 to 2018, was the 2018 Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year. He joined the Chiefs in 2023 and, despite an ACL injury in last year’s AFC Championship, returned to play this season.

 

Xavier Worthy, Wide Receiver, Kansas City Chiefs: Worthy declared for the NFL Draft after a standout junior season at Texas and was selected 28th overall by the Chiefs. In his rookie season, he has become a key offensive contributor, known for his speed and playmaking abilities.

 

Moro Ojomo, Defensive Tackle, Philadelphia Eagles: Ojomo played for Texas from 2018 to 2022 before being drafted by the Eagles in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He has been part of the Eagles’ defensive line rotation, appearing in 25 games over two seasons.

 

 

This marks the 19th time in the past 20 seasons that former Longhorns have participated in the Supe

r Bowl.
