Three of Everton’s four strikers are currently on the treatment table, meaning Beto will likely to have to lead the line again when Bournemouth visits Merseyside this weekend.
Mangala, meanwhile, will be a huge miss for the Goodison Park outfit the rest of the season. The midfielder featured in all but one of Everton’s 22 games across all competitions prior to the 4-0 win against Leicester on Saturday, 1 February.
However, the deadline day signing of Carlos Alcaraz gives Moyes some wiggle room.

James Garner played one of the best passes in football to assist Beto for his second goal as Everton beat Leicester City 4-0 on Saturday, according to Jamie Carragher.
Reviewing footage from the Premier League game at Goodison Park on 1 February, the pundit pointed out Garner’s assist for Beto’s goal right at the stroke of half-time is the perfect example of direct football.Blown away by Garner’s skill, he described the pass as the best of its kind before passing the mic to Gianfranco Zola, who he dubbed as “one of the best passers in football”.
“When you talk about direct football, nothing is better than that”, Carragher said on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football (3 February).
“That pass from James Garner, they are the best passes in football.”

Zola was in agreement with Carragher, hailing Garner’s pass as “magnificent”, although he thought the Leicester defenders could have done better to deal with the situation.
“The pass is magnificent, I have to say. Also, the move, the timing, everything was in place.
“Probably, the Leicester defenders were a little naive there because there was a movement from the first defender to go in front to block the pass and the second one should have covered the space behind.

“But, it doesn’t take anything away from the quality of the pass and the quality of the move.”
James Garner key for David Moyes at Everton
Saturday’s game against Leicester was Garner’s first star for Everton since their 0-0 draw against Newcastle under Sean Dyche in October.
The former Manchester United ace hit the ground running for the Toffees, showing what he is capable of with that assist for Beto’s second goal.
There is no doubt that the midfielder will be a key player for David Moyes between now and the end of the season, especially after Orel Mangala’s injury.
The Lyon loanee has been a regular starter for the Merseyside-based club this season, but is now set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after picking up a serious injury.

This means Garner will be one half of Everton’s double pivot in the middle of the park, with Idrissa Gueye providing some more defensive support.
While Abdoulaye Doucoure is capable of playing in that position, it is evident that Garner is better suited to that role.
Therefore, it is imperative that the 23-year-old avoids any serious injuries and stays fit until the end of the season.
In other Everton news, details of the Toffees’ last-ditch attempt to sign this player on deadline day have emerged.
In other Everton news, the Toffees were offered a late deal to sign a Serie A attacker.
