The Royal Navy men’s football team will play in the 2024 Portsmouth Senior Cup final after beating Petersfield Town in the semi-final.

The Navy are the reigning Inter Services champions after triumphing in March and continued their mission to take cup competitions seriously with a 2-0 win at the SureFix Home Improvements Stadium.

Sanchez Jansz-Baker came off the bench to fire the Navy in front after 70 minutes and, in the final moments, the Navy grabbed their second from Sean Powell after a well-taken counter attack.

They will play either Gosport Borough or Portsmouth’s Academy team in the final at the PMC Stadium on 15 May.

The Navy also reached the semi-final of the Hampshire Cup this season which set them up for an Inter Services triumph over the RAF and British Army.
