As of March 30, 2025, the drag racing world has witnessed several significant events and championship victories:

• Antron Brown’s Gatornationals Victory: Four-time and reigning NHRA Top Fuel world champion Antron Brown began the 2025 season with a win at the NHRA Gatornationals. Brown secured his 65th Top Fuel victory and 81st career win by defeating fellow past champion Shawn Langdon in a close final round at Gainesville Raceway. 

• NHRA Summit Racing Series Expansion: The 2025 NHRA Summit Racing Series introduced an eighth division, incorporating Eastern Canada into the competition. This expansion allows winners from Eastern Canada to compete for a world championship in Las Vegas. The series culminates with the NHRA Summit Racing Series World Championship during the NHRA Nevada Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway from October 30 to November 2. 

• Steve King’s Pro Mod Championship: Steve King clinched the $150,000-to-win 2025 World Series of Pro Mod title. The event, known for its high stakes and competitive field, saw King emerge victorious, solidifying his status in the Pro Modified racing community. 

• John McLaughlin’s Stock Eliminator Title: John McLaughlin, a Langford High School graduate, won the B/Stock Eliminator championship at the NHRA World Finals in Pomona, California. His unexpected participation and subsequent victory added a compelling narrative to the 2025 season. 

• Arabian Drag Racing League Champions: The final rounds of the Arabian Drag Racing League at Qatar Racing Club concluded with several champions crowned across various categories. Notably, Youssef Al Ali dominated the Super Street Pro category, achieving multiple victories and setting a new time record in the final round. 

• Bahrain1 Racing’s Pro Mod Victory: Bahrain1 Racing, led by His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, celebrated a Pro Mod victory in the opening round of the 2024/2025 Bahrain Drag Racing Championship. Driver Khaled Al Balooshi secured the win, marking a strong start to the season for the team.
