Breaking News: Tottenham to Shatter Records: Teenager Inks Historic Deal on 17th Birthday

Tottenham are prepared to break new boundaries by offering a record fee for teenage prodigy Mikey Moore. According to sources, the 16-year-old has agreed to sign his first professional contract with the club, which will be formalized on Sunday, his 17th birthday.

Moore is highly regarded at Tottenham, as seen by the three-year contract he is about to sign, according to The Athletic. After starring at youth level and in pre-season, the north Londoners are reportedly paying the attacker a higher wage than they have ever offered to a player turning 17. The contract length is the maximum allowed by FIFA regulations for players under 18, and Tottenham will hope it deters some of Europe’s top clubs from retaining one of their own.

It had previously been claimed that Manchester United and Manchester City, as well as German powerhouses Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, were all interested in the teenager. Moore has made a significant impact since joining Spurs’ first team at the end of last season, becoming the club’s youngest Premier League player when he made his debut against Manchester City in May.

The Tottenham youth product made one more league appearance, coming off the bench late in the final game against Sheffield United. This summer, he shined for Ange Postecoglou’s side in pre-season, scoring against Hearts, Vissel Kobe, and a Japanese youth international team.

Moore was praised by his boss after scoring an 88th-minute goal against J League Kobe: “Mikey has been fantastic since we brought him in.” “He earned his spot on the roster now, as he did at the close of last year. “He got a run with the first team because we could see in training that he was handling himself really well and that’s followed through into pre-season training.”
