Bayern Munich is reportedly close to signing 21-year-old goalkeeper Jonas Urbig from 1. FC Köln. Urbig, who has represented Germany across various youth levels and currently serves as Köln’s backup goalkeeper, is expected to join Bayern as a deputy to Manuel Neuer. The transfer fee is anticipated to be in the “high single-digit million” range.

This move comes in response to an injury sustained by Bayern’s current backup goalkeeper, Daniel Peretz, who is sidelined due to a kidney contusion.
