BREAKING NEWS: Barcelona back out of race to sign Bayern Munich heavyweight – report

FC Barcelona has reportedly withdrawn from the pursuit of Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich and Leroy Sané. According to Mundo Deportivo, the club believes that integrating these players could impede the development of emerging talents like Marc Casadó and established wingers such as Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.

Financial considerations also play a significant role in this decision. Kimmich’s reported salary demands—€15 million annually, potentially rising to €20 million with bonuses—are deemed excessive for Barcelona’s current budget.

Consequently, Barcelona is shifting focus towards nurturing its academy prospects, including Marc Bernal and Casadó, to strengthen the squad without incurring substantial transfer fees
