After wins like Wednesday night’s, Leeds United can really start to dream about Premier League football next season.

On Wednesday, Leeds United hammered Watford 4-0 away from home. Goals came from Dan James who scored twice, Manor Solomon and then Joel Piroe in the second half, as Daniel Farke’s side open up a five point lead at the top of the Championship table.

It’s now 14 games unbeaten for the Whites. There’s also been six clean sheets in a row for Illan Meslier who’s had a handful of saves to make in that time, with Leeds simply too good for any team in the Championship right now.

Sunderland is up next, followed by a game against Sheffield United. Wins in both those games could all but promote Leeds United who could have a very busy summer ahead, with Farke surely having his eyes on some players already.

Likely, Solomon is someone who Farke has an eye on.

Paul Robinson urges Leeds United to snap up Manor Solomon
Solomon scored his seventh Championship goal of the season at Vicarage Road, also grabbing his seventh assists of the season. The Spurs loan man has been on fire in recent weeks and there’s many fans wondering if he’ll sign permanently in the summer.

It’s already been reported that Tottenham are planning major changes in the summer and that could see the 25-year-old Solomon moved on. If that’s the case, former Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson wants to see Solomon brought to Elland Road on a permanent basis.

Robinson tells Leeds Live: “He’s done well at Leeds with his goals and assists and at the minute, you don’t know what’s going to happen at Tottenham with the manager and who’s recruiting the players, so there could be a window of opportunity for Leeds United to sign Manor Solomon, but others will be looking at him. If Leeds do get promoted, then he would be a great buy.”

49ers’ stance on signing Manor Solomon revealed
Solomon is certainly finding his footing with Leeds. But it might not be enough for him to work his way into the picture at Tottenham in the Premier League.

Nonetheless, the 49ers are yet to make a decision on Solomon and whether or not they want to sign the winger in the summer. Speaking to Leeds United News recently, transfer expert Graeme Bailey explained: “He is doing a very good and it is something being considered by the club. But I am told a definitive decision has not been made.”

Leeds have 14 games left of the season now with that promotion double header coming up against Sunderland and then Sheffield United. Expect Farke to be fully focussed on those games, with talks over the likes of Solomon likely to take place when the season is done and dusted.
