|Everton double signing on the cards’ before deadline after Moyes update3 February,Everton could sign “one or two” players before the transfer window slams shut on 3 February, Alan Myers has predicted.
David Moyes has yet to add to the squad in the winter window, even despite huge injury blows to Orel Mangala, Dwight McNeil, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja, and PSR could be to blame.31 January], Moyes admitted the Toffees have been “hampered” by PSR restrictions but attempts were being made to bring players in before the deadline.
Responding to a question via X about signings being made [31 January], Myers wrote: I would think we will – maybe one or two – but it’s not proving easy at the moment.
“There is a reality about it and they will be doing whatever they can within the parameters they have to deal with.”
MORE TOFFEES STORIESWith the numerous injuries mentioned above, Moyes will be desperate to add some new faces to the current squad before the transfer window slams shut, and a double signing potentially being on the cards would be a massive boost. However, that partnership is over following the latter’s crushing injury blow, with the Belgian set to return to Lyon until the end of the season, leaving plenty of holes in the squad.
Join theAnother new striker is also a must, with Calvert-Lewin and Broja leaving only Beto as a fit forward, and he has only netted once in the Premier League this term.
Everton Goodison ParkIt is an extremely difficult transfer window for the Merseyside club, even after The Friedkin Group’s long-anticipated takeover, leaving Kevin Thelwell with the tricky task of sealing a few signings before it’s too late. The Premier League strugglers, who are sitting in 16th in the table, are running out of time to solve multiple issues within the starting XI.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are considering a late bid for an “amazing” new striker as a PSR twist emerges.

Flamengo are allowing Carlos Alcaraz to join Everton because they’re in advanced talks to sign Arsenal midfielder Jorginho, according to Vene Casagrande.
The Brazilian journalist reported via X on Friday (31 January) that Flamengo are set to recover almost the entire £15million they paid Southampton for Alcaraz last year and are progressing in a deal to sign Jorginho, 33, either now or in the summer.
Flamengo have already announced that 22-year-old Alcaraz is joining Everton on a loan-to-buy basis.
The Argentinean central midfielder only signed for the Brazilian giants last year from Southampton but Casagrande told his 1million X followers that there are fears he doesn’t fit in with the style of play in Rio de Janeiro and his value could suffer he continues to stay there.
After signing for Flamengo from Southampton in August, Alcaraz has gone on to play 19 times in all competitions in Brazil.

It seems like a good deal, too.
For £15million, the Toffees are getting themselves a quality young Argentinean midfielder, who already has a good amount of experience in English football.
Everton fans should be excited by this one and Flamengo fans should probably be happy to see a big-name player in Jorginho joining them as a result.
