SAD NEWS :Georgia football injury report vs. Notre Dame in 2025 Sugar Bowl

NEW ORLEANS — Georgia football running back Cash Jones exited the Sugar Bowl on Thursday in the first quarter with an injury.

Jones went through a Superdome tunnel to get the injury checked out with the game scoreless. The injury came after a Notre Dame punt.

Jones sustained a right shoulder and is questionable to return, per DJ Shockley. ESPN reported that Jones is expected to be back.

UPDATE: Jones returned to the game in the second quarter.

Who else does Georgia have at RB?

Georgia’s top running backs are Trevor Etienne and Nate Frazier, but the depth already took a hit with Roderick Robinson and Branson Robinson sidelined for this game due to injuries.

Etienne fumbled in the red zone in the first quarter, turning the ball over to the Irish.

No. 2 Georgia (11-2, 7-2 SEC) will take on No. 5 Notre Dame (12-1) in the 2025 Sugar Bowl. The matchup between the Bulldogs and the Fighting Irish will kick off at 8:45 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN.
