Sheffield Wednesday Star Poised to Solve Danny Rohl’s Selection Headache

Sheffield Wednesday will look for a new start when they return to Championship action next week. Despite an impressive opening-day victory over Plymouth Argyle, the Owls’ season has deteriorated considerably in their last three games.

Sheffield Wednesday have now lost three games in a row, most recently to Millwall, and have not scored a goal since their victory over the Pilgrims. Danny Rohl will be relieved to have finally reached the international break, and he will utilize the time off to re-evaluate his squad and make the necessary adjustments to turn things around. The German will undoubtedly have to consider making changes to the starting lineup after putting so much faith in many of his recent arrivals.

Pol Valentin is surely set to start v QPR

There have already been requests for Pol Valentin and Marvin Johnson to return to the squad, and it appears that the former will have the opportunity next weekend. Over the weekend, it was reported that Yan Valery sustained a slight calf strain while practicing with Tunisia, which would likely require him to miss some time. Valentin is set to replace the right-back, and while it is uncertain how long Valery will be away, the Spaniard now has a great opportunity to reclaim his starting job.
